2nd ANNUAL HIPHOP APPRECIATION AWARDS CEREMONY SUNDAY, MAY 16th - ERNIE PANICOLLI Keynotes
May 14, 2004, (Atlanta, GA). The importance of the Awards Ceremony is to uplift the Hiphop Community. Each year Hiphop Appreciation Week is centralized around a theme, this years' being FAITH and the keynote speaker, Ernie Panicolli (Author of “Who Shot Ya?”), a Hiphop Photographer and Elder who has documented the culture for over the past 30 years will express how FAITH impacted his life. And the three women who produce the event believe FAITH is what is needed to address many issues the culture of Hiphop is facing. The Executive Producer, since it's inception in Atlanta four years ago, Dee Dee Cocheta shares, “Those involved in Hiphop and that are devoted to the epressions of all the elements in Hiphop need to be recognized for their efforts. The Awards Ceremony is that annual sense of community where we can make everyone aware of not only who is being recognized but the awareness of their endeavors .”
