THE WORLD OF MUSIC LOSES ANOTHER GENIUS

 

Nathaniel “Crocket” Wilkie

Crockett has been recording professionally since he was a teenager. An original member of Gypsy Lane, a group of studio musicians that recorded for acts like the Ritchie Family and the Village People, Crockett’s career has placed him in the company of some of music’s greatest. He spent 21 years working and touring as assistant band director with Patti LaBelle and Budd Ellison and most recently was working with Najee, Jeff Majors and others. On the keyboard, he was genius. He passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Philadelphia.

Homegoing Celebration is at 10:30am, followed by burial and repass
